Off the Grid

I toppled off the grid and, thus, haven't been around since Friday. I'm back up to speed and enter this simple "grid-like" picture of something I recently made. I'll post follow-up photos of the project in my next blog entry.

Wishing you a safe and happy weekend.

Nighty night.

Jockey up for Another Small Bite of the Big Apple

Loved seeing this building. And no, it's not the Jockey Underwear store.
I believe this is where the contestants on Project Runway stay during the show's filming.

"Wicked" is one of the most popular Broadway musicals. It is on my list of shows to see next.

We've been out most of the evening, so again, a sorta short post.

A really good day we've had, and hope the same is true for you.

Nighty night, everyone.

Portable Stairmaster

We're keeping quite busy this week and are looking forward to some relax time at the beach again soon. And, speaking of the beach, I couldn't let this short and to the point staircase go unphotographed last weekend during one of our afternoon outings. Now, I just know there's a story here.

A wonderful good night to all.

Busy this evening with knitting guild, not much time for blogging. A lucky break from the New York pictures for you!

Nighty night.

Live from Saturday Night, It's New York

I'd know this building from any angle.

Why am I reminded of Hitchcock upon first glimpse of this distinct sample of New York architecture?

the infamous Russian Tea Room

Central Park offers a plethora of buggies for riding through the park.

This restaurant beside Central Park was a wonderful choice for having dinner.

The lower portion of this building is actually curved. I first saw the structure many years ago when it was the W.R. Grace Building. (Don't know if that is still its name.) To the right is the Plaza Hotel. It can be seen in many movies. One particularly memorable one is "Home Alone 2: New York."
the famous bitten apple
This Apple store has a unique approach, literally. On street level, one can see the "clear box," situated over the store's entrance. Once inside the "box," a circular staircase guides one down to the Apple adventureland.

This was a fun picture for me. I shot it from a picture window in the ladies' accessories department at Bloomingdale's.

More from New York soon.

Nighty night, all.
