Picnic Detour

Upon arriving back home after taking India to her vet's office for a check-up, we were met in the driveway by this industrious, large-numbered welcome wagon (minus the wagon). Squidley responded by offering each and every one a nice little aperitif.

India's doctor is very pleased with how well she is getting along. And, for the record, India's weight increased from 5.34 pounds, two weeks ago, to 6.1 pounds.

Deutsch is startled to see that someone has caught him enjoying one of his favorite activities: digging his way to China.

"Ok, Scout. I'll get back to digging while you keep making sure the coast is clear."

Paradox Plus One

This is one of my favorite shots of our little ones. While Scout, Deutsch, and India often hang out together, it is less frequent that everything comes together, just so, for a "family photo." This photo features, among other things, the beautiful, full chests of our two little boys. India is, thus far, shapeless, and quite spindly. Cute as she is, this stage for her is an awkward one. And we are enjoying every second with her, awkwardness and all.

It is not unusual to spot India "climbing" her way to the top. Seriously, she doesn't seem to give a second thought about who she must step on to get to her destination. Deutsch has been the "alpha dog" for a long time, but it now seems that India may just give him a run for his money.

Of course, she manages to maintain that "picture of cuteness" attribute regardless of who gets underfoot.

Scout is quite handsome, as evidenced during this pensive moment.

This little guy is, after Scout and India, one of Deutsch's best friends. He has not made an appearance for about a week or so until his evening, and Deutsch couldn't have been more estatic. He always makes his appearance somewhere on our patio, usually on a window or near an outdoor light. Oh, and just a by the way. I forgot to rotate the photo before loading it to this post; however, the way it is seen here is the actual way he was photographed. Additionally, I must give a photo credit to Squidley. Though he and I both photographed the frog, I selected, as the best shot, this particular one, taken by him.

Grasshoppers make me think of grass. Butterflies make me think of butter. And sunflowers make me think of . . . .The sun? Nope. Vincent. Van Gogh, that is.

The White Double Feature

The white flower photos I recently posted are now the only evidence of the beauty those blooms gave us, albeit briefly. However, as gorgeous as those flowers were, they weren't the only act in town. The subject in the above photo is quite striking in its own right.

Well, we are a sleepy group, so it's off to beddy bye for us.

Can't Complain About the Rain

These recent rainy and cooler days have provided the perfect backdrop for both morning and afternoon siestas. Scout, Deutsch, and India have been taking full advantage of those gray skies and falling raindrops.

Squidley and I have not yet managed to squeeze in any naptime, but there's hope, yet, as it's still raining.

White Flirtations

Perhaps, rather than scarlet, you prefer blooms free from color. While these flowers don't tend to stick around for a great deal of time, they are, nonetheless, magnificent during their brief stay.
